Slipped Tableware
The pots are made from earthenware clay, slipped and then decorated . The texture from slip application forms an integral part of the decoration. Coloured glazes or oxide pigment brushstrokes are added, the work bisque fired before the final glaze firing.Sometimes on-glaze enamel is added with a third firing.
